If its an island, like Majorca, would you say..Im in majorca or on majorca? my friend joe wants to know!?

as i said, he keeps saying he is right but he isnt, if you were talking to someone while you were on holiday and you said, "im on majorca" they would think your a prat, but if you said "im in majorca" they would think better of your english...please tell me what is right

  1. Great Britain is also an island albeit a bit larger than Mallorca but you wouldn't say you were "on" Great Britain  would you so why on earth would you say you were "on" Mallorca?

  7. Well as Majorca is an Island then you would say Im on Majorca but if you say a particular resort such as magaluf then its in magaluf on Majorca. Hope this helps
