If its spoiling a child to just hand them something then what's the point of a will?

  1. The point of a will is to ensure that your obligations are taken care of and your children are taken care of, it has nothing to do with spoiling for goodness sake.


  2. I don't think being the beneficiary of a will is spoiling a child.  If the kid is young, the poor thing has just lost a parent or loved one.

    If the kids is older, an inheritance could help give him/her a leg up in starting out life.

  3. The point of a will is to make sure you can decide what you want to happen after you're gone.

  4. Spoiling=overindulgence

    Will=left over assets after death

    2 different things.

  5. If it dumps a ton of money on someone very young, it could be the same thing.
