i think the only reason he is winning like this is because toyota has more horsepower than all of the other cars and i`ve heard that from many people from nascar. And also how come when he was in a chevy he hardly ever won a race. Now all of a sudden he is dominating.

  1. Once again, nascar does dyno testing and no make of car has any significantly more horsepower than any other.  Common sense should tell you that, after all, if Toyota has more horsepower, how do explain Waltrip and Vickers, and why hasn't Tony won this year.  It seems that some urban legends die hard.

In answer to your question, it wouldn't matter what JGR used, Kyle is thriving in that atmosphere.

  2. Now all of a sudden he is dominating because he's out to prove something to someone(that someone shall remain nameless)

Had he have gone to a Chevy team, or had JGR stuck with Chevy's, I think Kyle's season wouldn't be much different than it is now, he always had the talent.

  3. Not a fan.... but yes !!

Rick Hendrick just turned the fire up a little, for Shrub !!!

  4. The "Big Three" got lazy and Toyota was a vulture ready to swoop. Toyota had the technological edge, because they had to make their introduction impressive. They knew what they were doing with excitement and vigor in their tech. dept. They couldn't wait to break into the sport, so they probably over exceeded their expectations. And they really got lucky, because Kyle Busch went to a Toyota team. Who knows, maybe in the grand scheme of things Toyota paid HMS for ditching Kyle. Or maybe JGR got paid for hiring Kyle. (insert conspiracy here). Either way Kyle Busch is a pure race car driver, and I noticed he was a phenom. JGR just has the most agressive drivers of the season, and that's a good thing. It's what made the switch from watching HMS dominate the season again. Now HMS just has to polish their new team. And while they're doing this all eyes are on Kyle.

  5. Toyota dose have some extra horses even Larry mac said it but nascar is going to have to do something  soon cause they said it plain an clear they want everybody to be equal and no one have a advantage over any one El's JR NATION member back when dei use to tear everybody at up Dayton an Dega an how fast nascar fixed that  an plus i can Remember back awhile when Chevy's use to have a lot more power at the RP tracks an fords use to whine about it

  6. sorry, but any time i hear these arguments i have to laugh.

he did win in chevys.  who won the first COT race in a chevy?  how many races did he win in chevys in the nationwide series, and in chevy trucks?  he won 4 times in sprint cup in chevys, both old style and COT.  he won 11 times in the nationwide series in chevys, and he won 6 times in chevy trucks.  that's 21 of his 31 wins total, and he's only run full-time in those series for three or four years max.

people who complain about toyota dominance now have a very short attention span.  toyota has won what, 5 races out of 13?  chevys have won 3, fords 3, and dodges 2.  because of this, everyone wants to point the finger at toyota and say that's why kyle is winning and that's what's wrong with nascar - they are in toyota's back pocket.

where were these complaints about manufacturer dominance last year when chevy seriously dominated the cup?  last year chevy won 26 out of the 36 races; ford won 7; dodge won 3; and toyota 0.  was nascar in chevys back pocket then?  did they have an unfair advantage - the numbers would seem to say so, but no one complained.

and who are these people from nascar you've heard this from?  anytime i hear "someone from nascar told me" or "my cousin who cuts the crew chiefs hair told me" or whatever, i immediately tune it out.  toyota goes through the same inspection processes and has to follow the same rules as everybody else.  if toyota is the reason that busch is winning so much, why aren't denny hamlin and tony stewart winning as much - they have the same equipment?  why don't vickers, allmendinger, waltrip, reutimann, blaney, etc win as much?

why is he winning more now than last year?  well, why did jeff gordon "all of a sudden" start winning like crazy back in 1995-1999?  gordon won 0 cup races in 1993 and 2 cup races in 1994, before winning 7, 10, 10, 13, and 7 cup races in the next five years. kyle was always on the brink of greatness, and it wasn't until he had enough time to grow, and the right combination of players around him, that he began to shine in this, his breakout year.

why is edwards winning more than last year? he's driven a ford his whole cup career... as many commentators and drivers have said, the COT favors a "wheelman" - someone who can drive a car really loose.  and kyle and carl are guys like that, and they have 7 wins between them - no one else has one more than 1.  plus, kyle's got extra motivation this year - to show rick hendrick that he dumped the wrong guy.

and you can't even blame his winning on jgr's dominance.  he didn't race for jgr when he won in the #32 a couple of weeks ago in the nationwide race.  billy balew motorsports has no connection to jgr, yet kyle dominates when he runs in the truck series, racing against guys who have been racing in toyotas even longer than he has (ballew used chevys until this year - others have been using toyota tundras for years).

kyle is the real deal. get used to it. quit trying to find excuses for why he is winning and everyone else isn't. he's just that good, and poised to get better. he runs more nascar races a year (in all three series combined) than ANYONE else (he averaged 68 races per year over the past three years), and that just means even more seat time and experience above and beyond the others.  read the article below for more...

  7. I think it is a combination of setup, plus I agree that the toyotas have more power, you just don't put half a track on the second place guy in 2 laps like kyle did to carl edwards and others at the all star race.  Also some other guys who normally do not run up front are making it there in their toyotas.  He is a talanted driver none the less, but the toyotas this year are like the Hendrix bowties of last year, but I don't think we've seen it all yet.

  8. check your stats please...wtg #18 and Winter, you said it all, no further comment needed from me

  9. No.  And case in point..why didn't he "DOMINATE" last year when he was in the absolute best equipment???

JG and JJ were the ONLY two drivers competing for the Cup halfway through the Chase...why wasn't Kyle up there with them?

You know what I also find really freakin' hilarious?  People who say "Look how many Nationwide/Truck races he's won this year, how many he won in a Chevy...blah blah blah blah..."

But these people are the VERY SAME people who are the first to dismiss Jr's TWO Busch Series CHAMPIONSHIPS as meaningless.  Funny.

  10. If you were really watching how he's driving you'd know it's about over. He's pushed his luck too far !(Mark it!)

  11. would- he already did
