If this employee is productive, loyal, and follows directions I'd say yes.  However, she'll have to make other arrangements next time.   Take a look at my business blog.

Depends on the company HR policies. If policies do not specify anything about it, I would prefer taking advice from higher ups before  replying to the the lady or commenting on her requet.

Some companies allow this, but some things to consider are:  liability, confidentiality, distracting her and others, disruption to work day.
