If corporations eliminate their matching contribution to 401K accounts as a result of the Democrats voting to remove the cap on Social Security earnings, won't that in fact constitute a tax increase on the middle class since they end up paying the cost?

  1. Democrat never turn down a tax increase or even concern themselves with the CAUSE of the DEFICITS.

  2. Obama's plan calls for a gap from the current top up to 200k, and then it would start again.  I really doubt this plan would have the consequences you think it would.

  3. Wait a minute.  I thought Republicans were all about personal responsibility and not depending on someone else for support.  I would think that Republicans would be overjoyed if employers stopped matching 401k contribution because it means less employee expense and more money for the shareholders.

  4. Well That doesn't make alot of sense.

The tax cap is $102,000 right now.

Just how many employees do you think, make more than $102,000 ?

That a corporation, would end thier 401K matching program.

To save money to pay the higher payroll tax ?

They would just increase the price of what they make.

Thus, taxing the poor and middle class.
