If lighting were to strike a pond or a small lake, what would happen?

  1. Hello Juju. My understanding is that lightening does not strike water, because it is flat, and lightening will be drawn to prominent features. However, your question has me wondering what happens out at sea. So I am hoping a scientist will answer your Q more than I was able to.
