  1. I have that same problem. When I use my laptop on the continent. I have a Euro bank account in Spain and when I pay with PayPal I have to pay in Euros, while I want to pay in Sterling from my UK bank account. I don't want to use the expensive Euros at the moment, but apparently there is no option.

  2. The equivalent amount of sterling is charged to your account (at PayPal's exchange rate)

  3. basically, paypal will convert £ to $ and charge you the relevent ammount in £. i dont think there are any other charges added.

  4. it changes it to pounds for you. you pay about half the amount of dollars in pounds.

  5. The will convert it and charge a small exchange fee when they either bill your credit card or withdraw the funds from your bank.

  6. you will pay what it is to what the exchange rate is at the time

  7. it converts for you :)

  8. you'll be charged foreign exchange rate mate

  9. You have to hand over twice as many bills ;-)

  10. nothing you pay the amount in pounds

  11. They might ask you to pay with stones or buttons.  Yanks don't accept GBPs any more.  Or you could go to prison for not paying in GBPs.  the choice is yours.

  12. paypal will convert into the correct currency for you

  13. paypal have their own exchange rate, which you can see on their site. So you will get your bill in GBP.

  14. Your bank will convert it at the daily exchange rate (taking their percentage cut of course) and deduct the pound amount from your account.
