  1. Yes, but not really likely. If it does spread, most likely you will have symptoms along the same direct stream as your thyroid. To prevent, you may want to raise your alkaline level of your body. This will prevent the spread of cancer (will not get rid of what is already there). It works pretty well and is proven but not widely accepted. Doctors will agree its a good plan anyways, but will not say it helps prevent cancer. Clinics on the other hand will agree it does help prevent the spread of cancer and, in conjunction with treatment, can help get rid of already existing cancer. Either way, what do you have to lose? Cold showers and dark greens are good for you anyways. You can still have acidic foods and drinks, just cut back and increase your intake of base pH (above 7.3).

A long time ago, Dr. Otto Warburg  won a nobel peace prize for proving that cancer is anaerobic; meaning they thrive only in a low-oxygen state. Alkaline tissue holds 20 times more oxygen than does acidic tissue.

  2. It depends on the stage of the cancer. If it is contained to one area and hasn't metastasised it is ok. If it has spread to the lymph nodes from the thyroid, then it iis on the move and could go anywhere. Treatments can usually hold the spread for a time.

  3. It is rare for papillary to spread all the way down to the stomach. If it has gone untreated for many, many years (20+) then it may be possible. It can spread to the lungs, but it is not that common. A positive thing about pap thyca is that radioactive iodine is usually an effective treatment...I say usually because I had 2 large doses that didn't do anything to mine, mine was best treated surgically.

Papillary thyroid cancer is very slow growing, one can have it for several years with little change in prognosis. And it is rarely fatal. I have a friend who had thyroid cancer with lung mets, 2 RAI treatments took care of it.
