  1. B/c we didn't actually evolve from apes.  That's a common misconception about the theory of Evolution.  The modern Apes has they're ancestors & the modern humans have our ancestors.  Apes are like our distant cousins not our ancestors.


  2. Man and apes have a common ancestor. We didn't evolve from present-day apes. Our common ancestor(s) branched off: One branch evolving into the apes of today and another evolving into what would be us.
