  1. I am sure some Celtic fans would like to ask Peter Lawell why he let Kenny Miller go, as it was his decision alone to get rid of him.

  2. your wrong, it means he has someone above him (so called Director of Football) who makes the decisions on transfers, in this case it was the poison dwarf Dennis Wise

  3. I'm afraid its no back hander. Its just the way some clubs go about transfers. Its actually a lot more common in other European leagues where the board and directors of football buy the players, the manager just picks the squad, tactics, training etc. Basically in many clubs in Spain and Italy, the managers work with the players they're given, and have a lot less say in dealings. This is whats happened at Newcastle. Ashley and Wise took over transfer policy, Keegan doesn't like it so he left. I can't see it catching on in England to be honest as the managers are used to different.

Keegan was very unfairly pushed out, a real shame as he seems a good man and a decent manager. Guys like Ashley and Wise are bad for the game if this is how they think

  4. It goes on though God knows why? I blame Dalglish for this "Director of football" c**p he invented the job for himself as he hasn't got the bottle to manage  .. Strachan didn't want Keane or Gravenson and more recently he asked for Tamas and got Loovens instead, so the suits have the final say! the managers more of a buffer between the suits and the fans now than a tactician..
