  1. The President would appoint a new Vice-President who would then have to confirmed by both houses of Congress upon majority vote.

  2. remember this..if if if if if if if. if a frog had wings. do i need to say anymore.he is alive and doing well.and so is palin. president mccain and vp palin both are alive and doing will..see you in nov 4

  3. If the sitting president passes the sitting VP is sworn into office immediately, no confirmation is necessary by the idiots in the Senate.  This procedure is clearly set forth in the constitution and was done so to prevent the civil wars that took place in British history for succession of power.  Look back at the pictures of LBJ being sworn in on a plane after he had JFK assassinated.

  4. Nope. We'd be stuck with Palin. Fun. Hot woman who believes in devils coming after your soul.

  5. when republican vp spiro agnew resigned (for illegal tax evasion and corruption), republican president, tricky d**k nixon appointed gerald ford--a fair guy--as the vp. Then, of course, when dickie quit/was run out of office/cut and ran (take your pick), ford took over. That was back during the 70's and we (america) had the oil embargo, so we ended up with a Ford in the white house and no gas!

  6. The Sec/State becomes the interim #2 until a new VP is selected and confirmed. This question is one that needs to be considered. How many of the 22 months that Palin has been Governor has she ACTUALLY been at the office? I don't imagine she gave birth at the Governors mansion. With 45 months of pregnancy under here belt; who has been running the show in her absence?

  7. Wow!  When you say it like that it seems so simple.  This pretty much negates a lot of Palin opponents arguments.

There is a process.  I think congress has to approve her new pick.

  8. Palin would be in the front line until someone who knew what they were doing could be found.

McCain is old, has cancer (hes not been cured of it), would only allow his health records to be looked at for a brief 'flash' (what is he hiding ?), and theres a good possibility of him dying in office.

As a republican, I cant believe hes picked an inexperienced lightweight to lead our country. Our enemies will be rubbing our hands at this. What a mess hes made.

  9. I believe the new VP is appointed by the incoming President, it may need to be confirmed by Congress.

    Blue collar for McCain

  10. I thought one needed experience, is that McCain's WHOLE CAMPAIGN PACKAGE?

  11. The president appoints a new VP who then must be confirmed by the Senate.  This happened under Nixon. His VP, Spiro Agnew, resigned to avoid impeachment and Nixon picked Gerald Ford to replace him.  Later Nixon himself resigned, Gerald Ford became president and picked Nelson Rockefeller as VP.

  12. The Sec Of State is responsible for those foreign policy needs..

  13. I don't think he will make it to November 4.
