  1. Take the example of Ronny Reagan.

A movie star, the president of the U.S. and no memory.

The secret service would throw leaves in the pool so he could fish them out. He liked that.

    Then he really got sick.

    Who was he then?

  2. Someone else.

  3. Its genetically built in but according to religious beliefs we haven't been around too long and apparently there was a period where nothing much of any significance was happening? Even though evidence suggests our relatives walked this earth at least a quarter of a million of years ago so how the h**l did we get this far if our memories were so shot to bits is another wonder?

Some of our closest ancestors have been purposely retarded by religion for their control of the show but like elephants we can't be forgotten (don't ask). And it doesn't really get forgotten just erased from the short or long term memory by stronger forces such as our natural cycle in the minds inner (ear) consciousness is what we need to keep conscious and afloat or risk drifting.

  4. The NOW>>> very Zen.  Ooooohhhhmmmmmm

  5. A shadow of the person we once were.  Most times our memories make up a very big part of who we are.

  6. Perhaps that's what God had when He made us.

  7. Okay, by permanent you mean as we start to do something we start to forget what we started to do. As we start to say something we forget what we started to say................................Think on that a moment................

Now, do we have time to start and finish, then forget? Complete a day, then forget? A week? So, how about when we finish a bunch of stuff, if it is all bad, we just do a mind cleanse. How? Hmmmmm......Experience is what makes us who we are, without memory the experience is forgotten. Sounds like I need to take a lot of notes, but then I won't remember how to read. Sheesh. How to walk, nope, forgot, how to makes words, nope forgot. Mama, dada.....who said that dear? feck if I know.

  8. it would make us the same person we are now. amnesia is the lose of an ablity to remember. our personalitly was made by our life exp and you don't lose that because it's not something you have to think about.

  9. You asked that earlier ms sheila and people agreed that memory is what makes us who we are. so, i think we would be legless jellyfish.
