If men are biologically meant to be promscious then what happens when another men wants another guy's girl?

Doesn't another guy wanting someone's girl make her in return have many boyfriends and hubsands?

And thus making the woman promscious as well?

Because lets face it if all guys were designed to be promsicious and have many women, than isn't it safe to say that some guys are going to have to share the same girl?

It is a form of respect granted to one another.

Though not always observed ,for the most part it is.

The practice of taking another guys girl happens much less often than a girl taking another girls guy.

I presume it's something women have no way of understanding.

   I forget the name of the hormone, but it varies in different animals. It controls if a creature is promiscuous or monogamous. I am sure you heard of animals that literally mate for life right? Well they have high levels of this hormone/chemical.

You're right, but I do believe that women are generally choosier when it comes to partners.

But, they do have the capacity to have multiple partners and I don't think it's "abnormal."

You're completely right. Mathematically, heterosexual women have s*x as often as heterosexual men, and heterosexual women and men must average the same number of partners since heterosexual s*x requires a male and a female.

Historically (an in many places today) a certain class of women is set aside to take on large numbers of sexual partners in order to protect the "purity" of other women. These women are generally prostitutes and the sum of societal sexual shame can be cast upon them and left there, thus freeing "good" women and all men from having to share in that (needless) shame.

Mathematically, however, whenever a heterosexual man is having s*x, so too is a heterosexual woman. In the heterosexual population it is impossible for one s*x to be more promiscuous (on average) than the other.

Kris W: Oxytocin is the hormone you refer to. It does vary among humans and the human species is neither completely monogamous nor completely promiscuous. The level of oxytocin present in a person determines much of their inclination regarding monogamy/promiscuity.

Any ideology that argues that humans (female or male) are "meant" to be either monogamous or promiscuous fails to attend to the biological reality of humans. Generally people tend to pair bond for a time and monogamy is easy as long as the oxytocin levels are high. When they drop for one partner, or both, monogamy becomes work. It would appear that humans are biologically wired most often for serial monogamy, though there are people who range from completely monogamous to completely promiscuous.

Considering some people don't have that much s*x and some not at all, this leaves the people that do and of those there is always a hard core getting most of the action.

A few guys getting a lot of women up the duff does not work out 'mathematically' as equal amounts of men and women 'at it' like rabbits.

However, considering one man can spread a lot of s***n about, there will be a lot of women having it away. A lot of men won't get in there.

The human world is not the same as the world of non-human animals, our society has made it possible for even the most unsuitable specimens to get some action, so it can't be measured using the natural world as a yardstick.
