Modal realism is the philosophical thesis that claims all possible worlds are as real as our own. This philosophical thesis is associated primarily with David Lewis who robustly defended this idea in a full-length treatment of modal realism that he authored. Lewis has been interpreted as saying--and maybe he did say--that there are no impossible worlds. Therefore, possible worlds are irreducible entities and all worlds seem possible and as real as our world. If Lewis is correct, however, would it not seem that there is a real possible world in which God exists?
