would a 2 slit interference pattern be seen on the screen? Explain.

  1. Basically you'd have a superposition, or addition, of many monochromatic patterns. The fringes would become too broad to really be called interference. The dark fringes of any particular color would be filled in by bright fringes of another color. The effect would be more like a succession of spectra.
