If moon is attracted due 2 gravitational force of the earth y r other stars, asteroids or cosmos nt attracted?

if moon is attracted due to gravitational force of the earth then why are other stars, asteroids or cosmos not attracted to earths gravitational force?...............and if they r attacted towards earth can they circulate in an orbit?

The gravitational force between two celestial bodies is determined not only by their gravity, but also by the distance between them.  When the other bodies are far enough away, the distance outweighs the gravitational force.

They have inertia to counteract the force of gravity.  It's like if you were a small child holding a leash of some huge beast while the beast was trying to run from point A to point B.  And as it ran past you, you tugged on the leash but it just kept hurdling to point B.  Your tug (gravity) just cant outdo the all the force that it already hurdling the object through space.  But in the case of comets, you would be competing with the sun's gravity.

the main reason why the earth is not constantly bombarded by asteroids and comets is because of jupiter. jupiter is so massive that it tends to pull debris toward it and steer it away from the earth. the simple reason that the ones that do come close don't just fall into an orbit around us is because they are going way to fast for the earths gravity to capture them.

They are attracted but they are so far away and as the attraction is related to the square of the distance the force is too small to have any affect

They are, and we all orbit around the black hole at the center of our galaxy called Sagittarius A*. To actually orbit the Earth, they have to come close enough to the Earth's vicinity to overcome the effects of other stars and large celestial bodies.
