  1. What a terrible thing to suggest. Do any of our schools teach Capitalism, History ( other than black history) Civics, current events, the Constitution?

You are asking our schools to be responsible - that's politically incorrect.

  2. Yes we will always need some basic social programs for people with mental problems and drug addictions. If capitalism was taught in all the schools instead of socialism we would need far less social programs and the democrat party would wither and die as people became more independent  and knowledgeable.

  3. There will always be people less fortunate than ourselves.  A society is measured by its compassion, not, as you would have it, by its selfishness and greed.  So yes, I think we need to give a hand up to those in need.  Someday that person might be you, tough guy.

  4. Great point! there is never a need for the Democratic party or any party that supports Liberal type groups and for silly causes. If a person could learn to not depend on the Government for such things such as checks every month they would learn you have to work to eat. However some people have to have disability or some assistance living do to age , or sickness.

  5. It is not that they don't understand socialism versus capitalism. They want control. They need us to depend on them like a toddler on his parents. Then, they can manipulate and control us.  They can't get votes by encouraging people to care for themselves and to solve their own problems. They have created the nanny state and are proud to be the Papa

  6. If Republicans were taught pure Capitalism the government wouldn't be subsidizing oil companies, car companies, agri-business, the mortgage lenders, student loan companies, etc...  They wouldn't award "no-bid" contracts.  They wouldn't contract out any of the military functions (as defending the Nation is purely a governmental function).  They wouldn't offer tax-breaks to corporations.

    Now, what was your point?

  7. What a great question!  As a recovering liberal, i hove found that the more you understand the principals of basic economic capitalism, the better off you will become.  Not only that, but because I understand our capitalistic system, I am more likely to give away (voluntarily) my hard earned money to charities that help those truly in need.  A strong capitalist economic education, combined with a good ole dose self reliance, has led me to the promise land of capitalistic conservatism.  I recommend reading Thomas Sowells, Basic Economics, as a starter.
