not so expensive but still safe? Also are there any areas where you can buy land at a reasonable price in the country? I live in the

US and love the idea of the climate of PR. Also can you collect your Social Security there? What are the local prices of utilities, cable, water and anything else you can think of? Thanks for any info.

  1. Ponce and Yauco.  They are great little towns with friendly people and cheap real estate.  I believe you can collet Social Security there.  Puerto Rico's all have US citizenship and US passports avaliable to them.  They have a very good relationship with the US.

  2. ISABELA DATS WHERE IM FROM

  3. Well I was born and raised in Bayamon which is in the metro area and real estate is pretty expensive where i live.

House prices range  400,000 and up.

    Yes we do have SS

At the moment I live in Aguadilla(since that's where i go to college at) which is the west side of the island and this area is  less expensive, i've seen a couple of good houses and apartment that range around 100,000.

well at my bayamon house the price of water at the moment is up to 300

cable depending on the company is around 60 to 90

    gas is $1.00 a liter

furniture depends on what style you want and where you buy it

and well i can't think of anything else.

There's pretty good lands at Rio Grande which is where the "Yunque" is at. Also you can find some pretty good lands at Comerio, Aguas Buenas and even in the country sied of Bayamon.

I don't know the prices of the land but I'm sure that the prices are reasonable since i have family members that have bought lands at those places.

my suggestion is if you are looking for a more peacefull less expensive ambiance move to the north west, center and south-east of the island.

If you are looking for a little more thrill like a tourist type are sorrounded with beautifull beaches and other things then move to the east side

and if your style is more cosmopolitan and you are looking for that big city type of life then move to the area metro to places like ,hato rey, santurce, guaynabo, etc.

I hope i was of help

  4. Well, I live in Ponce, south of PR, prices vary from 80,000 to 1000000 houses maybe even more, it does have some houses in mountains, utlities will vary also in the region you choose to live, but I bet they are pretty much the same as US. Yes SS is collected here also. The metro area is also expensive maybe you could check areas like Juana Diaz, Coamo, Peñuelas, Yauco, Arecibo
