  1. The lawyer is a fool who must have obtained his degree at Wal-Mart.  Either that or your friend doesn't like you very much and is having fun at your expense.

A licence suspended is suspended in every state and every Canadian province, until such time as the original suspension is lifted.

  2. I'm in Indiana and just got a license...also previously lived in Illinois.  Indiana was by far the most strict about giving out drivers licenses.  There was definitely a section on the application that asked if you had received a DUI.  Not sure what they'd do in your case.  You can call any Indiana DMV and they'll probably guide you.

  3. If your driver's license is under suspension in one state, you can't get a license in another state until the problem has been taken care of.  The DMV will put your information into their computer system and it will automatically search the National Driver Registry.  If you have a suspension anywhere, the state in which you try to get another license will be unable to process anything for you.  Don't believe everything that you hear.  Believe it or not, there are some attorneys out there who think that they know what they are talking about, but when it comes to the DMV, they don't.  Good luck.

  4. You can not get one till you fix the first one. Your lawyer was blowing smoke. And both of those states are tough, I have lived in them both and had drivers license in them

  5. The only way that a person could get a license in another state would be to use a false id(false social security number)

The second state will require ID and that ID will be run through nation criminal records and the DUI will show up along with the suspension if the correct ID is used.

Besides it is illegal to have driver's license in two states at once.. You are only allowed a license in the state in which you currently reside in.

    Hope this helps
