It says that I can relicense if it has expired within 2 years but I would need continuing education classes but I wont be able to take those in time before the license expires.

This is a NY license.

  1. Since it's expired over two years, you have to re-do the classes and re-take the exam.

  2. unfortunately the answer is going to be yes in most situations. You can call the NY State Dept of Ins for more info, (518) 474-6630. BUT call right away!!! If  you passed a test within the last 2 years you are eligible still so it stands to reason you may be able to renew still.... providing you have the proper continuing education. good luck.

  3. In Texas, you only get a 90 day grace period once your license has expired.

You don't necessarily need to take the classes over again, but you will have to take the exam over.  Since you've been in for a while, the exam should be an easy one for you!

Best to keep up on those CE Classes...I think the exam costs around $150 each time you have to take it.
