  1. Any animal that breeds is not going to do it while it is a baby. And no it is fine for the mice to breed with brothers and sisters. My female can bred with her brother not to long ago and the babys are just as healthy as could be =]

  2. You don't have to worry about breeding until they are 6 weeks or older.

Yes, though, inbreeding like that can cause defects in the babies- such as missing organs, eyes, or limbs! It's scary stuff.

Do you still have the father in with the mother mouse? He will need to be removed quickly, but after they babies are weaned, he can live with the boys in their cage.

Once the current babies are weaned, you can take your time sexing them by looking at online guides. Either pick them up and flip them over in your palm, or set them on a plastic or glass clear surface and look underneath.

Here is a pretty good guide on sexing: http://www.thefunmouse.com/info/sexing.c...

  3. that will be fine, cross breading in mice is normal and it will not cause any birth defects. =)

  4. It could cause problems to the offspring, but alot of times breeders[I'm against it]use it to get a certain type of coat pattern etc... and in mice, like rats, the males will have a ball sack and it is very evident, but keep in mind that they can pull their ball sack in,

  5. If this does happen, chances are that the baby females who get impregnated will either canabalize the babies, or not be able to deliver them.  In reality, you don't have to worry about the females being impregnated for awhile...I mistakenly sexed one of my baby mice, and she was with her brothers until she was 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 weeks.  You can confirm gender on your own, but I recommend going to a petstore and asking them to take a look just incase.  I did it, and it saved me the grief of having to care for an early unwanted litter.

  6. Oh no, animals are differnt then humans. Its okay, Go ahead, they wil be fine, They may not evan know they are bro and sis! LOL!
