it depends on your ages, it seems that some people lose control of this function later on in life, and they always have a sheepish, "was that me?" look on their face.  if she is older and you play it cool, she may think she did it.  if you look at her in that youthful "i'll take care of you mom" way, and clean it up, she may just give you a raise for being so caring.    all because you farted....the american dream alive and well!
