  1. just because you get a green card doesn't mean you get some visa's also to give your friends. What he can do is try and sponsor you if he can prove he can afford you.

  2. No, he cannot.

  3. No. He can send you an notarized invitation stating that he will be responsible for you and your expenses while you visit him in US (vacation time , from 3 weeks up to 2 months). with that invitation you need to go to American embassy and apply for a visa.

  4. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.  Your brother has to apply for one himself.  I don't think you can petition him for one either...that is something different.  Check out the USCIS site.

  5. No one can SEND you a visa. That is something you must apply for yourself through the nearest US Embassy or Consulate. The conditions for issue can vary, according to your nationality. Your brother can sponsor you, providing that he can show evidence that he can and will support you financially for the period of your visit, and ability to pay for any medical treatment that you may neeed, including as a result of an unforeseen accident. He would also have to prove that he had suitable accommodation for you to stsy in, by producing either property title ot mortgage papers, or a legal rental agreement properly describing the accommodation. If your brother is to finance a visit he would have to submit as evidence of employment and savings, bank statements  for at least the last 6 months. You would have to attend for interview at the US embassy or consulate, and would be questioned. If granted a visa, that would only allow you as far as the immigration officer at the airport(or port) of entry. It would then be up to the immigration officer there, to allow you, or deny you entry. If you are honest and genuine it is not a problem. If you are caught out in a false statement, not only your visa will be denied, but you will be automatically be banned from the USA for a period of five years or more, possibly permanently, depending on the circumstances.,

  6. NO. you need  apply for a tourist visa for yourself at the US embassy
