  2. Full coverage doesn't mean that you're fully covered - but it usually means that you have fire coverage on the car.

    As long as you have fire coverage, and it's not your arson act, it should cover, minus the deductible.

  3. It would be covered under comprehensive coverage assuming you carry that, unless you torch it yourself.

If you have comprehensive(other than collision sometimes called) it may be covered.  It depends on the source of the fire actually.  If your car caught fire due to you not maintaining it (no oil in it, etc) than your company COULD deny your claim.  But if you have a good company  (allstate, state farm, geico, etc) they will probably pay it minus your deductible.  But remember you get paid actual cash value for the car, which may not cover your loan, unless you have gap coverage.

  5. Your insurance company will investigate it.  If it is declared a loss, you will have to sign a release.  They will then sent the settlement payment to your note holder minus your deductable.  If there is still a balance, you are still on the hook for it unless you purchased Gap Insurance.
