If my car is a non runner and off the road, but i want to get rid of it for a few quid. Whats the best way?

The exhaust has gone on my car, its a nice enough car but i would only want £50-100 how do i sell it so someone will collect it?

Scrap cars are making good money because metal prices are high, you should get over £100 for it. call your local breaker

A scrap dealer will collect it, they will give you £60 ish.

Cars are fetching anywhere between £100-£200 as scrap metal these days. If you can get it towed to a scrappy you'll get more for it since they won't have to come and get it.

You aren't likely to get anything for it.  You can no longer 'scrap' cars, they have to be taken apart and the various bits recycled - which means you will have to pay someone else to do it.   Sorry...

Sell it for parts. If you can brake it down into part for example, engine, wheels, seat, brakes etc. The car will be worth more to people who need a specific part. Its a risk but often can pay off.

i would have loved to have known where you live but hey i'm sure you have a local scrap yard somewhere around some recker/towtruck places will give cash

but your best bet is to just put it on a free site and try to sell it

if you really just want to get rid of it i use frecycle

Skippy tow it to a scrap merchants not a car breakers , the price for metal is through the roof at the moment, if its a fiesta size vehicle you could get up to 130 pounds without the wheels on, if its bigger than that your get more, see if you can fill the boot with any old metal as this will increase its weight and hence more money, if you want to be technical if you take the cat off that could be worth a further, up to 60 pounds.. it all mounts up. if you pay someone 20 pounds for a tow, your still quids in
