If my car reads "No Sat Radio" does that basically mean i dont have the needed equipment to listen to it?

I have the antenna and the button for it in my car but i cant get the 12 digit ESN to show up for me?

  1. Meens You Need More Equipment So That You Can Program Stations In There.


  2. either unit went out or more likely not equipped.

  3. If you bought the car new. The saleperson would have made sure you understood. If used, you might want to call Sirius and XM (have the VIN ready). The numbers are easily available on the respective web sites. It may be that you just need to activate the radio with your credit card.

    I'm a little puzzled why they have the controls, if the gear isn't installed and ready to go. At least you'll know for sure.

  4. Sounds like your car is satellite ready and not satellite equipped.  Most likely, your radio tuner does not support sat rad but the antenna wiring is already set up in your vehicle.
