  1. No.  Liability insurance only pays for damage to others

  2. no it is not your problem.!

  3. Liability insurance does not cover the car, it covers damage you may do to others.  If it is stolen, you don't get paid.  If it is in an accident, you don't get paid, unless it is the fault of the other driver, in which case their insurance pays.  If it is stolen AND in an accident, you don't get paid.

  4. No.  If your car was stolen and reported to the police, you are not legally liable for any of the damages caused by the thief.  Unfortunately, your vehicle is not covered either.  You need Comprehensive coverage.  You can seek restitution against the thief if caught, but good luck recovering.  Sorry

  5. Assuming the person who stole the car is not caught...Only if it was by some negligence on your part that the car was stolen (i.e. you left the keys in the ignition) would you, and your insurance company, be liable for the entire accident. If it was by your negligence, you will not be compensated for your car. If some professional car thief steals your car, which you made every attempt to keep them from stealing (i.e. you locked the doors), and wrecks it...you would get the amount the car is worth or whatever it takes to fix it, and the other car will be the other persons responcibility.

  6. No, your insurance company would decline the claim stating you were as much a victim as the person that was struck.

In this case, the insurance company of the vehicle that was hit, should be able to make an uninsured motorist claim and be taken care of under their own policy.

As for your vehicle, your insurance company can only work with the coverage you choose.  If you only have liability coverage, you would be responsible for your own vehicles towing and repairs.
