If my child inherited 20k,will my welfare benefates be affected?

That depends on the age of the child and how the child receives the inheritance.  If it is put into a trust fund that the child cannot touch until 18, it may not have any effect.

the only way it would it might reduce the amount you receive until this child assets drops to a certain level and then your welfare will be returned to the original amount!!!
