If my child is on medicaid and not his fathers insurance will they make him pay back if i drop child support?

  1. You can't drop child support while you are on gov assistance, medicaid included.  The state won't let you.  And they'll tell you that if you do, or they find out that you did, they will take away your benefits.  This is true in every state.  And until you start the support back up, if you did get it droped, you won't be eligible for any benefits through the state.


  2. Regardless of the child support, if dad has assets, and you put your child on welfare health insurance (medicaid), they will go after him - eventually - for reimbursement.
