Does anyone know if social security benefits take the place of the non custodial parent paying child support?

  1. That is what normally happens. Your child is getting half the amount the father receives per month. Usually SS disability payments are so low that trying to get more would be fruitless.

  2. Yes no double dipping! You are being paid by the government in lieu of child support.
