Question:

If my contacts dry out...?

Can I put them back in the solution for a few hours and rewear them?

I'm blind without them and I missed the holder when taking one of them out last night.

They are monthly contacts, if it makes a difference...and it was my last pair for the year. I really hate wearing my glasses, and I haven't yet made my yearly appointment with my eye doctor.

Thanks in advance.

  1. Nope, once they're totally dry, thats it. They won't ever go back to normal. Sounds like you need to make an appointment and wear the dreaded glasses. I can totally sympathize though...my glasses give me migranes.

  2. Yes as long as they are still in one piece. Contacts are mostly water and they will re absorb and you can wear them like usual, They wont do anything to your eyes if (like I said) they are in one piece, if it is torn or tears then you will need to throw away. Just put them back in the solution until they come back to life.

  3. it also depends what contacts you use. is it that serious

  4. to answer this question I would have to know what kind of contacts you are wearing.   Some contacts are more oxygen permeable than others.  Wear your glasses and make an appt asap.  An O.D. can not call in a new script for you  until you are examined due to the damage your current contacts may or maynot be causing.
