If my credit score is really good and my fiance's is decent...?

...should we both fill out the rental application for this apartment we're looking into. It says one of the rental criteria is "excellent credit".

  1. Everyone has a different definition of "excellent credit".  Often with two people you won't both have the same credit.  The problem is that you may need to show income for both people.  I also agree that you want your fiance's name on there since you are not married he is not automatically liable for rent.

  2. More then likely if you both are going to live there you are both going to have to be on the application.

    Put your information first and his second.

  3. I'd say you both should fill it out.  If something should happen, you don't want to be stuck with all the responsibility.  They will probably just name you as the first name on the lease
