  1. No, not as an individual when considering income v. expenditure.

    Capital losses on the other hand will carry forward, to be offset against any future capital gains.


  2. Generally yes - but certain deductions, such as donations (e.g. Red Cross, etc), such as your own personal deductible contributions to superannuation fund - no.
