If my elliptical says 1.00 for distance. doesnt that mean 1mile?

Well, it most likley means a mile.  But you couldn't go quite as fast say on a track or road.  Runnning is easier on a elliptical.  It is not the smae thing as running tooo.  i would look at the owners manual to see what that means.

it could mean 1 km depending on where you are.

1km= .62 miles

i think thats like 25% of a mile on mine it does laps and 1 lap is .25

so maybe 4.00 is a mile on yours

i dunno
