  1. Hi Mrs. B,

    The bankruptcy procedure needs to be respected because you are entitled to some benefits.  You can also negotiate with your employer about these benefits and how can they be given to you.  If he is going to let you have the computer equipment, it has to be done through the proper accounting systems and through the law.

  2. When a person goes bankrupt what ever they own is supposed to go into a pool to pay off their creditors.

    If your boss owes you money you need to attach your claim to the bankruptcy and write a letter asking that since these items are in your possession could you hold them against your claim.

    They may deny you but they could in fact say go ahead.

    Your employer should have you listed on the paper work if he owes you money.

  3. Not legally.  It's an asset of your employer.  The courts will force them to liquidate their assets to pay their debts.  So, they will want it back to sell it.  They might sell it to you for pennies on the dollar?
