If my friend gives me her IPOD so I can put al of the songs on my itunes on her ipod, will that mess up ?

settings w/ my IPOD? Will it erase songs on my itunes? Will I have to re-register my ipod? How does it work?

  1. if you do that then it will erase everything that is on her ipod and link it to your computer only. But it will not mess up your ipod at all, you can link up to 5 ipods to one computer. and there is a way to do it without using itunes, you have to open up her ipod as a hard drive and then copy the music files from your computer into her music files, but first you have to make her "hidden" files unhidden, there are a ton of free info sites just google it, with step by step directions for how to do this, it's actually really easy. Apple hides the folders by defalut so people don't go around to all their friends computers and just copy all the music. There are ways to turn dvd's into mp3 files, sometimes you have to buy a program though, but no you cannot directly upload a dvd, it has to be converted to an mp3 file

Itunes will register that you have a new ipod and will let it sync it.  However if your friend has already synced it to her itunes then it won't work.  It also won't work if she wants to sync it to her own itunes.  Bottom line is that if you friend syncs her ipod to your itunes then she can't sync it to anyone elses including her own.
