  1. No, your citizenship is based soley on your place of birth.  You are a citizen of the country that you were born in.  There are some exceptions, if you are born in Germany, for example, but on a military installation of the US, you can claim duel citizenship.


  2. There is no such thing as European citizenship. If one of your parents was born in Germany, then you might be entitled to German citizenship, but I would doubt it if it was only your grandfather.

  3. no, only if you were born in germany. my aunt was born in england, so when she turned 18 she chose between US and England citizenship. My mom however didn't get to choose, even though my grandmother was born in england.
