If my husband and I have an insurance policy, can he increase the amount without my permisssion/signature?

  1. Are you and he joint owners?

    Does he own the policy himself?

    Do you fear that the coverage is excessive?  If so, you may be in fear of your life although not mentioning it in your question.  No company wishes to provide a profit motive for the owner of a policy.  If this unlikely (incredibly unlikely) situation is your concern, you may contact the company directly.  Let them know what you are worried about.

    If you ever re-post this question, please mention the reasons for your question.

    If it is simply economic in nature, such as "We can't afford the higher premium", then mention this in your next post.  People who read it will then not express their paranoid thoughts.  

    Sorry if I got too carried away.  But you seem to be really concerned and have not expressed your reasoning.
