  1. Your question to me sounds like you want to vote but you don't want any jury duty. Being an AMERICAN has it's responsibilities. Have you ever recited the pledge of allegiance? Are you an American? Jury duty is a part of serving your country, which should be considered an honor for an American. The answer to your first question is yes. The answer to the second question is: individuals are identified by their social security number through the drivers licenses office in some cases but it doesn't mean that you will be selected for jury duty.

  2. yes, you still have all the same rights as a Military dependent as you do if you weren't.

you simply register with your state of residence, and if your not in you home town you need to apply for a absentee ballot. If your called for jury duty unless you want to travel to your place of jury duty, just write and let them know you are in a different location with your Military spouse, and need excused.

  3. Wow.. Really?

I have never voted and I have had Jury Duty every single year since I was 18 years old. As for how to register go to google and type in "Voting Registration (your state here" and a webpage will pop up for you to request the form.

  4. Yes you can register to vote. Go to your local DMV or post office and they can help you. Yes you can also get slapped with jury duty. My husband is active duty and he still had to appear for jury duty.

  5. Yes you can register.  Call the voter registration office where you live or apply for an absentee ballot from your home state.

There is usually a voter registration office somewhere on base.  Have your husband talk to his first sergeant about it.

Jury duty in most states is tied to your driver's license.

  6. Where are  you stationed?  Your home town or somewhere else?

You can vote absentee and mail in your ballot if you are stationed elsewhere.

You might get called up for jury duty - it happened to me once.  I just attached a copy of my orders to the letter and mailed it back.

  7. Here are the instructions on how to register to vote. As far as jury duty, I've called twice and My wife has never been called, it's a "hit or miss" thing.

  8. You can if you are over 18.  In my state, not registering to vote doesn't help you shirk jury duty if you have a driver's license.  Ha Ha, gotcha.

  9. Jury duty is taken from different rosters in different state......usually the state drivers license roster..... ( many people do not vote but everyone wants to drive) When you are assigned to one state by the military.....you are usually required to get a license from that state

Married or unmarried you can vote if you are a citizen and not a felon

Usually you can vote absentee ballot.....most military units have a voting officer with the ballots and information..... but nothing keeps you from registering locally
