  1. It also depends on what you're weaknesses/strengths are.  I have damage in my knee from jumping when I was younger and my bones/joints weren't fully developed yet, so now I stick to footwork and spins, so I have shorter blades than I used to back when I was jumping.  Also depends on your ankle strength.  Reidell's, which I had when I was younger and I feel gave more ankle support do require longer blades.  Now I'm on SP Teri's, which are better for my ankles - I have strong ankles from tap dancing - because they allow me a little more control (that might just be the design I have though).  So it's really a personal preference.  I'm a size 7.5 in figures and my blades are 9.75", which is ridiculously short compared to my 15" racing blades (which in turn is short for racers).

  2. I have a size 7 1/2 skate and my blades are 10". normally skates come with the right size blade

  3. this is for Riedell skates but I don't know what you have but it could still be helpful http://www.skate-buys.com/sublsiforrib.h...

  4. I depends which boot manufacturer.  If it is a Reidell, it will be  a longer blade than a Klingbeil, SP-Teri or Jackson.  Measure the length of the sole from heel to toe.  If your foot has stopped growing, get a blade that is 1/4" shorter than the full length.  If your foot is still growing, get the full length so it may fit on your next boot.

  5. Most likely a 10" or 9.75". I would check with your coach or someone who knows a lot about skates.
