if my parakeet keeps jumping off of my finger when i try to take him out of the cage should i grab him and take him out or give him time until he is willing to stay on my finger and come out

  1. You should place a perch ontop of his cage and hand feed him over time he might get to trust you a bit more and even sit on your shoulder or arm without coercion!!! let him know hes not going to be shoved back into the cage when you are tired of him!! also leave all escape routes blocjked and after a time place a perch by the cage and move it gradually till its by the tv and your parakeet will sit there and watch tv with you!!


  2. I would make sure you have him in a secure room (no open windows or doors) and just leave his cage door open until he chooses to come out.

    This way you will avoid scaring or damaging him.

  3. i think that the best answere is to give him time to stay on your finger!
