If my pelletstove is in the same room as my thermostat,how will the heat come on in the rest of the housr?

  1. The house thermostat measures the temperature where it is located.  Your home furnace will not come on if the pellet stove keeps that room above your set point.

    You should be able to turn on your furnace fan manually and this should circulate the air in the house moving the heat from the pellet stove room to others. (not great but some)

    As for your pipes freezing that would depend on if they get below 32deg F.


  2. As long as the "set" temperature is reached (from the pellet stove) the furnace will not come on. You would need to operate the furnace manually to heat the rest of the house.

  3. I think it is highly unlikely. I bought a pellet stove and it was useless for making heat. Hope your stove works better.
