If my rat is pregnant, can i keep her with her cagemate (another female) until the third week of pregnancy?

  1. Separate them, it'll keep the environment stress free and gives her some privacy =]


  2. I would say to seperate the two females. Another female might stress out your pregnant rat.

  3. were that is fine infact it has been nown that 2 female rats will help eachother look after the babies it not a problem just make sure u do seperate them at 3 weeks coz the male it has will be able to start breeding

  4. I got my rat a few days before she had babies. We bought a cagemate with her and the cagemate seemed to stress her out while she was pregnant. We took her out and put her in a diff room and the mom settled down

  5. I did a lot of research on breeding rats and you can have the rats with the cage mate I think during the whole time!!!  If both of the rats were prego then the rats would take care of each other babies!!!!  I would get a small cage for the mom and babies so that they could have some privacy!!  I would say to put them in there after a few weeks:)
