suprising that you got a job with that large of a salary and don't know financial equity

You'll want to look at your monthly expenses and debt when figuring this out.  The rule of thumb is that housing expenses shouldn't take up more than 30% of your net income.  Contact a mortgage broker and they can give you a better idea of what you can afford tailored to your specific situation for free.  Good luck!

Ok, you need to be WAAAAAY more specific.  

1)  How much are putting down?

2)  What does your credit look like?

3)  Are self employed or not?

4)  What kind of assets do you have?

5)  Are you buying the house yourself?

Call a local mortgage broker to have him prequalify you.
