could palm trees and stuff suddenly pop up?

  1. You would experience no more winters at all and summers with no more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The severe difference between winter and summer would simply disappear, it would turn literally to summertime all year. And yes, you could bring your palm trees outdoors and even put them in the ground. Depending what latitude your state would 'suddenly" belong to, you may have a backyard reminding you of a beautiful tropical garden.

    Native animals would start to migrate north as they couldn't cope with those climate changes, but they'd be replaced with those coming from the south, taking over what those left when they took off.

    But that scenario isn't likely to happen; it would need a major shift of the earth's orbit and tilt in space, which only changes every 30,000 years or so. And even if it suddenly would shift, it would take years, decades, if not centuries to affect the climate on earth..

  3. They could survive but i think palm trees are sub-tropical, like in FL where i live.Favorite state out of 8 i've been to.
