Why do you think the error is due to them? If it's a glaring error like saying you didn't send in A, B and C (and you clearly did because you received those A, B and C back with a rejection letter) then you can should be fine re-applying (unless they state that there is a time limit in which you cannot reapply).

I would be re-examining your paperwork if I were you. The chance of an error is slim. More likely is that they found something in your documentation that they don't like (any crimial records, money troubles, overstay of previous visas etc) and have rejected you on those grounds. See if they gave you a reason for rejection (or if you can find out).

VISA application are never rejected by mistake. However you are always at liberty to reapply again

usually the visa office decide on your student visa by what you have send and filled out ? did they give you an exact answer as to where the error was committed ?

you can always re-file but not knowing where the error came from would not be a good idea ? otherwise , another rejection ahead ..........
