  1. $4,223,442.12

  2. i am definitely positive that a calculator would have been easier then signing on to yahoo and asking this question.

    $41.86

  3. $41.86

    Is this a real question?

  4. 40 * .0465   = T.  Add T to 40 and you get your answer.

Or you could just take a shortcut and do 40 * 1.0465

  5. $41.86

    40.00 x 1.0465

use 1.0465 so it adds the 40 dollars back in to the answer.

  6. 40.00 * .0465

    =1.85

    40.00+1.85= 41.85

  7. 40 x .0465 = 1.86

    $40.00 + $1.86 = $41.86

  8. you would take the cost of whatever you were buying and multiply it by the sales tax.

(4.56% in decimal form is 0.0456 and the one means that you are going to add cost of the object, 100%, which in decimal form is 1, to the sales tax)

    t= 40 x 1.0456

there fore the total cost would be about $41.82

  9. take a calculator if you have one and multiply

    40 x .0465, that will give you $1.86

for example, if you wanted to know how much

7% sales tax would be on a $25 purchase,

    that would be 25 x .07 or  $1.75

  10. $41.86!

  11. 41.864954122

  12. 41.85. To find the tax, you take the tax percent, move the decimal over 2 places and X by the price of the item. That's how much the tax will cost.

  13. Yes.. That is correct. $41.86

  14. $41.86

  15. Why cant you do this yourself???

  16. Probably around 42 dollars.

       10% of $40.00 is $4.00

so 4.65% is a little less than half of 10%

so if 10% is 4.00, then half of 10% will be 2.00

So just add $2.00 and you will be very close. to the amount.

  17. its really simplet math. multiply . (point)40 x 4.65 = 1.86

    then 1.86 + 40.00 = 41.86

pick me as best answer since i show my work please!

  18. $41.86

All you do is take the sales amount then times it by the sales tax and that is the amount of the tax.

So you take 40 times .0465 is $1.86.

    $40 plus $1.86 is $41.86

  19. $41.86 it is.

  20. It would be:

    ((40.00 x 4.65) / 100) + 40 = 41.86

  21. just short of $42

  22. 40 * 1.0465 = 41.86

  23. thats an odd sales tax...

    41.86 i believe
