If my tv is an analog but doesn't use an antenna does that mean I still have to get the Digital TV Convertor?

A converter and an antenna

No converter needed for cable or satellite

cable TV - with or without a cable box until the cable company makes you have a box (cannot do that to all channels until after 2012 in the US)

satellite TV - Already have the hardware you need unless you want more channels and need newer hardware

If your tv is hooked up to a satalite dish or to cable TV, then you will not need a converter box. The satalite and cable companies have been converting digital signals to anlog signals for a long time and will continue to for a very long time.
