  1. Around ten gallons.

  2. How much it costs to fill has nothing to do with anything.

What matters is miles per gallon.  Find out what your car gets for miles per gallon.  If you don't know, you can't work to improve it.  So find out how to measure it!  Knowledge is power.

  3. Are you driving forwards or in reverse... because that doesnt matter either.

You need to know how many miles you get per gallon!

  4. Drive till you get to LdF, or fill up if you only have a quarter tank left.

I bicycled this once.  Very pretty,  good people.

    take your time.

    University of "Wanna go Boogy?"

  5. Laura, do you really think you're going to get the answer with this many unknowns.  This like a quadratic equation.

  6. You need to know the MPG to calculate that (not how many dollars to fill up).

    Good luck...

  7. Rest assured that once you fill that tank, you'll have enough to get the heck out of Janesville, and make it to LdF.

And really,  that's all that matters,

cuz once you get "Up North" (eh?), you won't be wanting to go back.

    I'm jealous..............Have a great time!

Ok, OK, OK!  Give the link below a try, known as the Gas Cost Estimator.  It will give you a good estimate based on the size of car you tell it you have, or.......even better, if you DO know your MPG, then plug that in and your result will be very accurate.

Just type in your start (Janesville), your destination ( Lac Du Flambeau), your car size/type or MPG, and out comes the gallons used, approximate cost for the gas, and a Google trip map.....and some other neat stuff.

For your trip, assuming you use a big car with 20mpg, it gave the following result for the one-way trip up there (again, you won't want to go back):

12.78 gallons;   256 miles one way.

    Have a nice trip!
