  1. sounds like the switch. sounds like the down part of the switch is bad.

  2. The window switch is bad

  3. If it goes up then the motor works.  Depending on which door it is it's either a switch or wiring.  If it's the drivers door then all up/down wire is contained in the door and it's most likely a switch.  If the problem is one of the other windows can not be controlled from the drivers seat then it could be where the wiring leaves the drivers door, or enters the malfunctioning door/window.  Remember ever time you open or close a door you are bending the wires, and if bent enough times they will eventually fail.  If you can access the switches try swapping them and see if the problem goes to the other window, if it does then replace the switch, if not pull the boots protecting the wiring back between the door and the body of the car and inspect the wiring.  You could only need a 25 cent connector to repair the problem.

  4. theres a problem with one of the switches or a damaged wire in the door most likely. you need to remove the door panel, examine the switch, test it for power leaving from it in the down mode, if Ok then check the wiring the last part will be the motor. if you have patience and minor repair knowledge the repair could be under 25 dollars total.
